Bus Routines~

        The first bus arrives at Mitchell around 8a.m. If your child’s bus arrives early enough they will be able to have a morning recess. We strongly suggest that all children ride the bus to and from school. It helps promote independence and self-confidence. 

• If you choose to drive your child to school, please park in the parent parking lot on the hill and walk them to the playground to join their classmates.

DISMISSAL~ If you are picking your child up from school, you must provide the office a note. “Walkers” are dismissed first around 2:55p.m. Please be prompt and pick them up out front of the school building.

Snack Milk/Lunch Money~ 

           The Sandpiper Cafe would appreciate payment for lunches on the first school day of the week. **Please place the lunch money in an envelope or baggie with your child’s name written clearly on it. This will prevent confusion for the lunch ladies. 

        We fortunately have time in the morning (right after the Special) to enjoy a snack and come together for our Morning Meeting. Please be reminded that we are a “NUT FREE” school. It is also a school policy that the students do not bring in candy for snacks.

***Due to the number of severe food allergies and in support of the 5210 policy, we will no longer be celebrating the students' birthdays with a special snack.  As always, we will celebrate your child's birthday in the classroom by paying special attention to him/her on their big day. We appreciate your support with this.
